Basic volumetric models provide total traffic volume figures for single or multiple lanes. These counters are ideal for maintenance free data collection, making low cost surveys a reality in both town centre and more remote areas. The case is cast aluminium and information is displayed on an eight-character LCD. Total size is just 95mm x 65mm and the unit weighs less than 300g! Easily secured and unobtrusive, this ATC will count continuously until the operator choses to reset the count.

More advanced traffic classifiers can take inputs from either tubes or permanent /temporary loops. Both speed and vehicle class can be classified into 14 bin reports. Larger memory capacity means that up to 6 months of data can be collected before downloading is necessary.
Designed to be as secure as possible from vandalism, the counter cases can be easily fastened by chain to any secure fixing such as a lamp column or sign post, or fitted into a freestanding cabinet. Once the counter is secured, none of the details can be seen so that it remains inconspicuous and receives little attention from vandals.
A separate fitting kit of tube, nails, clamps etc is also available for the counters and a range of fitting accessories and spares can be purchased individually. Full fitting instructions are included

Input is via rubber road tube which feeds pulses of air through an internal air switch where they are converted into axle readings. The ease of use of these counters mean that they have been successfully used throughout the UK in car parks, shopping centres, country parks, garages, commercial premises etc, and they are pollution free.
